Why the FBI shut down pokerbandits.ca

Posted in Communication,Computers by Joe Tech on the February 12th, 2007

While reading Digg, I came across this.

According to the author, the FBI shut down http://www.pokerbandits.ca/ for posting information about how to bypass the US online poker ban. Go to the site and see what I mean. I hope if the FBI ever shuts me down, they use some better design skills.

Anyway, I took a screen shot of the cached page the site was allegedly shut down for posting. I can only assume I’m protected by freedom of the press. We’ll find out. If they shut me down, they’ll have to shut down Google, too.
