I for one think that it’s cool, Plus I for sometime wanted to build a wearable computer with a head mounted display or something & so what if it looks geeky, I say to all if they do not want to see my geeky a** all you have to do is not look because I will have a set. Like the guy said about internet dating that people were so against it & just us computer & techie geeks were doing it & now all the crazy regular people have saturated the sites with there crap, but it is all good because we geeks sure know how to invent other ways & other websites where the noobs are not. The geeks are making the real money & regular people are going homeless, so who’s the fool now.

Mark: I used it for about an hour watching youtube videos and trying Rubik’s Cube techniques while I watched, so I was switching back and forth and didn’t have any issues. I still need to watch a full movie on it.

Ive always been skeptical of these. This one sounds ok but I still feel it would be kind of wierd and dizzying...have you experienced sore eyes after wearing it for an hour or so? Rob: It does look a little funny, but you do get the depth out of it. The “screen” doesn’t look as big as I thought it might, but it’s comfortable for viewing in privacy and hands free.

Baba: Yeah… The game system was my first thought for a good use and on a plan was my second. I also work on some sensitive stuff while I’m in the airport or a coffee shop and it would be nice to protect my screen from prying eyes.

Klaus: You’re right for two reasons. First, the price point needs to be more consumer-friendly. Everyone has a cell phone because you can get them for free in many cases. When these are cheaper to make and cheaper to sell, more people will buy them. The second reason is public opinion. I think too many people might worry about looking “geeky”, just like with internet dating years ago. Eventually, people will be more open to it, and this design certainly helps.

Reel Advice: It takes a minute to get used to, but then it’s just like watching TV. If you move around too much, it can have a bit of a dizzying effect, but just sitting on the couch or laying in bed, it was fine.

Hopefully it is not a nauseating experience. i have heard of many gadgets similar to this that become really uncomfortable after using it for awhile.

It’s a pretty cool gadget and piece of tech, but I think it’ll be a few more years before we start seeing them on trains and busses :)

You know, I’ve wondered about things like this, and if you really get the full depth effect (and also if the eyes are capable of focusing and processing both screens like that, so close up.) Seems kindof cool, but also looks a lot like Cyclops from the X-men…
