I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who doesn’t like pizza and it’s not hard to find someone who likes Star Trek. It’s not much of a stretch, then, to come out with a Star Trek pizza cutter, and the Enterprise is perfectly shaped for it.

Because I love pizza and my wife is a big Star Trek fan, we teamed up with the Borg and made a pizza to test it out.
A Collector’s Item
For some, this might be considered a collector’s item only. In fact, it’s officially licensed as a Star Trek collectible. For those intent on keeping it far away from pizza, it comes in a nice box with foam padding to protect it.

It has a laser etched stainless steel blade with solid zinc-alloy chromium plated body. My NCC-1701 came with some spots on it that I didn’t notice until My wife pointed it out, but it didn’t concern me as I didn’t plan on saving it as a collector’s item anyway. Otherwise it looks pretty cool and will definitely make a conversation piece.
A Kitchen Utility
While others will hold this item back as a collectible, I wasted no time getting it involved in my goal to divide my pizza into many slices. After making a pizza, we enlisted the help of our Borg bear to slice up the pizza. Slicing was a challenge for Borg bear, but for the Earthlings, the Enterprise pizza cutter worked wonderfully as expected. The handle is just a little awkward, but didn’t really hinder its use at all.

Conclusion
Even Borg bear approved of the USS Enterprise Star Trek pizza cutter, and we agree. It’s a fun way to slice up a pizza. At $29.99, it may be better suited as a collectible, but after using it, it cleaned up easily as if it had never been used. If not for yourself, give this to anyone who loves pizza and Star Trek for their birthday and it will probably be the gift everyone else wishes they had bought.
