It’s time again for some bookmarks, kids.

7 Photography Projects – I love my DSLR camera, but between a lack of time and some lack of creativity, I don’t find myself shooting many fun photos. This guid has lots of ideas to get the creative juices going and I can’t wait.

Millennium Falcon papercraft – Wanna make a Millennium Falcon out of paper? You know you do. Here’s the templates and instructions.

100 Greatest Hits of YouTube – Someone compiled the 100 greatest hits of YouTube in a 4 minute video. I think it’s missing a few, but still a good watch.

Google SideWiki – Google’s new SideWiki makes it posttible to share your input on any page online with the plugin.

The EV Project – “The ultimate goal of The EV Project is to take the lessons learned from the deployment of these first 4,700 EVs, and the charging infrastructure supporting them, to enable the streamlined deployment of the next 5,000,000 EVs.” Sounds like a pretty cool project withe the Nissan Leaf and it looks like Phoenix will be the first pin on the map.

Star Wars Uncut – These guys are crowdsourcing a remake of the classic Star Wars. It’ll either be really good or really bad, but either way, I’m guessing you don’t want to miss it.

Xtranormal – If you can type, you can make a movie? Sure. I made a test movie in about 2 minutes. Pretty cool. If you make a movie, post a link in the comments.

Ping! for the iPhone – Blackberry has their BB-to-BB messaging and now we have Ping! for iPhone-to-iPhone messaging. I’m joe.tech, so Ping! me.

Wireless Electricity – It’s been talked about before, but now it’s becoming a reality. Some day, I’ll just set my phone down and it’ll charge untethered.

Bokeh bar codes – Mix Bokeh photography principles with bar code design and you get a super tiny bar code. Try to find that one when using the self-checkout machine.

Who looks like you? – Coke Zero came up with this Facial Profiler project as a unique marketing campaign. I submitted photos. I’m a little anxious and a little scared.

Stormtroopers 365 – Ever wonder what a Stormtrooper does on his days off? Here’s all the photo evidence.

Tron test footage – If you’re excited about the Tron remake like I am, you’ll enjoy this sneak peek.

Weekly Bookmarks – 09.13.2009

No more Bookmark Fridays? That’s right. I’ve come to realize that with my unpredictable schedule, it’s just not realistic to plan for a bookmarks post every Friday. I still want to provide bookmarks every week, however, so welcome to the first of many Weekly Bookmarks posts. Each week (usually on the weekend or Monday morning), I’ll post a list of some of my favorite links for the week just like I did with Bookmark Fridays.

I’ve also decided to stop linking to twitter accounts (at least for now). Only the same two or three people ever request the link and while they’re good people to follow, linking to them every week provides no real benefit to anyone.

With all that out of the way, let’s have some bookmarks:

AT&T MSS is early! – Well that’s what people are reporting, anyway, but not me. I just upgraded to 3.1 and no MMS still.

Get more web traffic – 21 untapped traffic sources is a pretty good list of ways to get more traffic to your wite, blog, youtube videos, etc.

Seeduino Mega – One of my employees, Jared, just bought one of these. It’s like the famed Arduino open-source electronics prototyping platform, but “much better” according to the employee. He said he suggested Seeduino send me one to play with. I wonder if they will.

Liquidware – This was also pointed out to me by Jared. These boards can connect to each other and when one gets new software loaded onto it, any others connected to it will find and download the same software until the whole colony of them are updated. Watch the first video on the site.

People of Walmart – I know. It’s bad, but sometimes you just have to laugh at silly people.

Your world of text – Just click and type. It’s a blank slate anyone can come in and add to or edit.

TowerGeeks – More stuff I want to buy and play with. I love the towers that you can just slide boards into.

Searchslate – What a great idea. I should have done that. In fact… (to be continued)

Phoenix Astronomical Society – Did you know you could see Mars last night with the naked eye? There’s so much going on if you look up at night and a friend pointed me to this site to keep more informed about local stuff going on.

Animoto – I haven’t had time to really play with it, but this looks like an awesome way to make your photos and videos fun to share.

Amazon Mechanical Turk – Mturk is often forgotten, but is a great tool for getting some help getting stuff done without having to actually hire anyone or find contractors on your own. This is especially useful for getting tons of tiny things done in bulk.

Read before you rent a car – Think your own auto insurance covers everything when you rent a car? Read the fine print. If you don’t, you could be out a lot of money if you have an accident.

SERPs page 1 ranking – While this might not apply to some of you, those with web sites should read this article on how to land on the first search results page in Google with minimal effort.

21 Really Useful & Handy PHP Code Snippets – Nice resource for PHP developers.

iPhone apps for bloggers – This is a pretty decent list of apps that bloggers and affiliates might want for their iPhone.

DIY laser lighter – Make a laser lighter at home with a cheapo lighter, a DIY laser module and a little free time.

Geeky shirts – 26 shirts for internet geeks and web workers. I own a few of these.

I’ve been interviewing people all week, so I’ve had less time to play on the web, but I did manage to come up with a handful of links:

Stupid guy slapped – Nobody should really condone violence, but this guy really had it coming. Watch the video.

A plea to Apple – Augmented reality on mobile devices is an inevitable next step. Unfortunately, Apple isn’t letting us have it on our iPhones. C’mon Apple. You finally gave us video late in the game. Now catch up and give us AU.

SMC Phoenix – As I try to make myself available for more local tech groups and events, I found this and I think I’ll have to try and make it since it’s only once a month.

Twestival Phoenix – Twestival is coming again and I’m volunteering this time around. We’re still picking a charity and working out details, but I expect it to be good again, so bookmark and plan to show up!

Netflix Prize – Did you know about this? I didn’t. I have about three weeks left to challenge the pending winners. I don’t expect to do much, but I’m going to play anyway.

Sponsored Tweets – Once again, IZEA comes along and does a much better job with something others tried to do (but fail at). It’s not open yet, but I got a sneak peek and it’s very nice.

Twicsy – Want to know the most viewed photos on Twitter? Check this site out. No promises that they’ll all be safe for work, though.

T.G.I.M.B.O.E.J – The Great Internet Migratory Box Of Electronics Junk. I think I need to start one of these.

Do Stuff For Money – PayPal started a site where you offer up some cash for someone to do something. Like I could offer up $10 for someone to come by and wash my car. I’m not sure how much success this idea will encounter.

Massive LED project – This looks like a pretty cool project. I’m fascinated with video and manipulation of images, so I love stuff like this.

Twittering keylogger – Imagine everything you type getting tweeted to the world. A little scary to me.

Firefox 3.5 Beta – Beta or not, this is an notable improvement. It’s faster and has some cool new features.

2012 movie trailer in HD – I can’t wait to see this movie in November. The youtube user hollywoodstreams has lots of HD trailers to watch.

Michael Jackson – I wanted to start with this link as I sit here listening to some old MJ tracks and remembering how I feel every time I hear them.

IWearYourShirt.com – This is actually a great idea. Of course, if he sold only a few days and got no press or buzz, it would be a horrible investment. As it stands, though, the investment just might be worth it. I’d probably buy a December day if I had the budget set aside for it. We’ll see.

Feedly – Feedly came out of nowhere, making my Google Reader feeds just so much more awesome. My feeds total about 1,000 articles a day, so this will help me greatly in sifting through them.

IZEAFest – This is a fun annual event that I’d love to end up at this October. If you’re going, comment below.

Google Voice – Google Voice wants to give you a viable option to your cell phone and they’re opening up the phone number land rush soon. They have a million numbers reserved, so sign up for an invite.

DSLR Remote for iPhone – This is an awesome app for any one with a DSLR and an iPhone. Just be sure your camera supports Live View before buying the Pro version. Oops.

Get creative with Google Chrome – Google likes to have creative contests now and then. In this one, see how creative you can be in duplicating the Google Chrome logo.

Increase subscriptions with incentives – This post on JohnChow.com explains how you can increase your subscriber numbers greatly by offering incentives. Did I mention that I’m having another contest?

Save a couple hundred bucks – Once again, Microsoft is trying very hard to be in the search game and offering killer incentives. This one lets you save 35% on your purchase at AT&T. For a $600 iPhone, that would be $210 off. Not bad.

Million Pixel Twitter Page – Once upon a time, Alex Tew made the Million Dollar Home Page. Years later, with Twitter becoming the next Facebook (well, maybe), someone basically just applied the old idea with a new limitation.

High speed camera trigger – This is yet another cheap way to build a high speed camera trigger for amazing photos.

The Sims 3 – I’m not big on paying for games that will suck up all my free time, but I always liked the Sims series and I think I might actually buy and play this one.

One man dance party (video) – This guy dances like crazy until random people start joining in, eventually becoming maybe a hundred or more all dancing with him.

New religion: Pyrasphere – Looks like a joke, but it scared me for a minute with the celeb appearance.

The Rosetta Project – This is a great project, offering a ton of information, presented in hundreds of languages all on on disc.

Data.gov – If you had any doubts that we live in a data sharing era, just click. Ton’s of data from our government at your fingertips.

Chain Rxn – This is an addicting little flash game for Facebook.

Top 20 Video Memes – This is a pretty good list of viral videos and good for a laugh if you need it.

Google Wave preview – If you’re a developer, take an hour plus and watch this. Wave does some pretty cool things.

Spymaster This is another addicting game, but for Twitter users this time.

Controllerless Xbox Experience? – Watch the video and drool a little, but remember that MS promises pretty things all the time.

Texts from last night – Some really funny text messages, but it’s not censored, so you’ve been warned.

Chinese Windows XP Phone – I’d love to check one of these out.

Giant curved monitor – I love my 24″ monitor at the office, but I would much rather have this. Someone buy it for my birthday next week, please.

Official PSDs – Working on a client site, I was looking for a Facebook logo to add and came across this web site. They have tons of free layered PSDs for your projects.

Crazy Egg – If you have a blog or web site and want to know how your menu, ad, etc. placement is working for you, try out a service like this one. It tracks the actual mouse movements on your site so you get an idea of where people are looking.

Google Search with options – Search smarter with Google’s search options.

iPhone DSLR remote – This is a great idea for an app and I can’t wait to try it out with my Canon Rebel XTi.

Multimodal Brain Orchestra – Watch some guys make music with their minds.

Ninja New York – This looks like my kind of restaurant.

100 Geeks you should be following – Sadly, I did not make the cut.

Anti-Gravity sculptures – Some great anti-gravity sculptures and installations.

Blacksocks.com – Subscribe to automatically replenish your black sock supply regularly.

iPod Touch powered robot – I love to see stuff like this where someone does something different and cool with technology. And it’s a robot… my weakness.

Light as performance art – Great photos of visual brilliance.

Post-production light painting – Great tutorial on how to do “light painting” in your photos for a cool effect.

Logo My Way – This is a great way to get a good logo. Offer up a bounty for the winning entry (say $200) and get a couple hundred or so entries to sift through for your new logo.

Waze real-time driving updates – It’s a mobile app that gives real-time user-submitted updates about accidents, construction, incidents, etc.
