I have the lastest HD flip camcorder. There is no battery life indicator ... this is major cause of aggrevation. The zoom is very limited, if you're sitting in a class and trying to record a lecture you cann't zoom out enough to cover a standard class room lecture. Mary: That sounds like a video Codec issue. Try installing the Flip software and see if that helps at all.

NikNik: Thanks for chiming in on this. I hadn’t thought of the Flip for business. I mostly use it to play, although I have another site that I do a lot of videos on YouTube for, so I guess that counts.

Love the Flip! I have both the Ultra and the Mino...and they certainly come in handy! Since they are both small enough to carry in your pocket or purse...I can whip mine out in a moments notice. I especially find the Flip useful for business testimonials...but have used the Flip to film everything from soccer practice to rockstar social medians like Chris Brogan & Darren Rowse. Worth every penny as the Flip is priced reasonably and is VERY easy to use with built-in software. You can always take your editing to the next level by using Premier or Final Cut. BTW-The CUSTOM Mino makes a great holiday gift as you can upload a family photo or pick a cool design to personalize the case. NIkNik's last blog post..Did I Social Mention…
