There’s been a lot of buzz in the past month about Google’s “open handset alliance” for cell phone development called Android. In January, there were rumors of a Google hardware answer to Apple’s iPhone. The video below features a preview of android in action.
Better still, developers like me get to add to the feature set by developing our own applications, and Google’s putting up ten million bucks for developers to get involved. I can’t wait to start digging in.

I think that is a great thing… However, I would like to see the cell phone companies open up their platforms so you can use the signal for anything that doesn’t interfere with their system. Such as a refrigerator calling the local store and telling them I am out of milk. I am not sure about the lingo about which I am talking about. However, I heard that the FCC will be auctioning off some frequencies just for this purpose.

Technology may have been around before humans depending on how you look at it.
People forget that clothing, writing and books are technologies.
Today, developments happen faster and are more powerful.
