Feed the ego (and the SEO, too)

Posted in Communication,Just Cool by Joe Tech on the August 19th, 2007

Once in a while someone comes along with a novel idea and I feel compelled to dig in and play around.

Peopleized

While skimming The Thinking Blog tonight, I stumbled across the article, New Era in Social Networing about a relatively new site called Peopleized.

About Peopleized, The Thinking Blog says:

Peopleized is a social networking thinking website which is based on a very simple yet genius idea; connecting people by encouraging them to make interviews with each other. This way users develop a better relationship than any other social networking sites. They ask each other any questions they want and share the interview with others.

After the interview is finished, it is published in Peopleized. All members have the right to vote on each interview. The most favored interviews are highlighted. Users are free to copy and paste the HTML code of the interviews they like and publish them in their blog. Similar to link exchange for SEO optimization, this is another way of exhanging links for both sides.

So you go interview people and they interview you and get links back and make connections. Fair enough. In using the site, I’ve already noticed small details that indicate the kind of forward thinking on the behalf of the site’s creators that a site needs to reach and retain it’s target audience. The interface is pretty smooth, and all is well so far.

I have my account, so I figure I should put it to good use. If anyone wants to interview me, use the button below and I’ll post the interviews here later in the week.
