And now for some boolmarks.
The Underground Motel – In Australia, there’s an underground city called Coober Pedy and you can stay there in this underground motel. It looks pretty cool.
Mars fly-by – We keep getting better and better photos of the surface of mars. Some of these are just incredible.
Bob McFerrin Hacks Your Brain – Not as amazing as it sounds, but this video shows how easy it is to manipulate and train the mind.
Awesome Transformer Halloween Costume – This is what I want to be for Halloween.
Facial Recognition – I’m playing with this software I found while reviewing a netbook.
HDR Images Tutorial – This guide shows how simple it is to make HDR images like I made here and here.
Glow in the Dark Stick Men Dance – Great concept and well executed.
Microprocessor Runs On Thin Air – While not exactly practical (at least for now), this truly defines thinking outside of the box.
Missing Google O Solved – On Friday, Google posted this tweet about their mysterious new logo image, which of course translates to “all your o are belong to us”, a reference to the opening line and hugely viral video from the 80’s game, Zero Wing. Turns out that it’s the 20th anniversary of the game’s release. Google just earned some more cool points.
RoyalTutorial – One of my advertisers, Zac Johnson launched a new blog to provide Photoshop tutorials and it looks great!
i-Swarm – Tiny robots that interact with each other and light? Truly awesome.
Trade Wars Lives! – In the 80’s, before we were all able to play on the Internet, we played on Bulletin Board Systems and on these systems, there was a game called Trade Wars. It was a great game and I had it installed on my own BBS. It seems it’s still alive and kicking on the internet. Geek nostalgia for the win.
TED Talk : Wireless Electricity – I love some of the TED Talks and I’m thrilled about the concept of wireless electricity, so I was happy to find this.
