I would buy the zune as I have broken three ipods so far. However, the zune does not have equalization and that is a very important feature for me. I really like the new Genius feature. It shows similar music in the store for me, but it only works if that artist has any songs in the store, so it won't work on rare and "odd" music--unless iTunes adds that song in the future. My only gripe about the new iTunes is that is has the tendency to crash...it crashed on me a couple of times and even got a BSOD during the install. Although it's could be my computer. It's not the same as it used to be. As for the new iPod nanos, I think I'm going to pass. I do need a new iPod since my mini's battery life is very short after 3 and a half years of heavy use. I lost all sorts of files. I think similar music suggestion is something most will use rarely, but it's a nice feature to have around. For the radio station, I'm always looking to hear new music. The labels send stuff, but I want to find new, independent stuff, too. MP3.com used to be an awesome source of new music, but that got ruined a long time ago. I'll be playing with the genius and hopefully it'll point me to some good music. Martym: The Zune is a nice play at the mobile player game, but Microsoft has a lot to learn if they want to unseat Apple in that market. Apple is clearly dominating and will continue to. To give the iPod any serious competition, a company will have to come along with a fresh new idea, some actual aesthetically pleasing design, and enough money to back it up. Google dropped the ball with Android, in my opinion. Otherwise, they were poised to be THE developer-friendly phone. Instead, they showed their cards far too early and Apple dropped the App Store on the market. I think the Zune will be dead and completely unsupported in a year or two tops.
