Terry: While it's frustrating that the software can't be ready when the computer boots (before login, I mean), I think this is a limitation of the OS and not of the software. That said, it's still highly useful. I have a mouse and keyboard set up on the TV computer and it's tucked out of the way. I only have to boot up and log in after power outages or Windows updates, so it's not often, but Air Mouse is used a lot more often. One day, we'll be able to have a server-side app that can listen for and accept the connection before login... one day.

Question: If you reboot the computer, when it gets to the login screen, can you use the application to select your user account, enter your password and load your desktop?

I have an app on my Windows Mobile phone which uses a server app to communicate back and forth and the server app doesnt start until you're already logged in which kind of defeats the ability to say the phone is a "remote keyboard/mouse" since I need to plug in a real keyboard and mouse to log in first.

Cool! I've actually got a friend that just setup a computer based DVR like yours, and we've been discussing remote options. He's got an iPhone too. It's one of the originals though (not a 3G) do you know if the app will still work?

Electronic Knowledge: I'm not sure what you mean. My computer DOES function as a TV. Inside, I have a Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150 (http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/products/data_pvr150.html) and I'm running Beyond TV (http://www.snapstream.com/) as my DVR software. The video signal just goes from my computer to an input in the 52" TV.

Nice advise but your computer actually can function as TV, if you apply your tools to your computer that have been completed with TV card, may be can work as your creation.
