Love you pictures of the G1 I found on Flickr and then saw this web page. Love the review and all the tips. I am buying one next month as they told me to wait and possibly save some money even though I qualify for the full upgrade now so hopefully they were trying to save me some money by them discounting the phone like they did overseas recently. I want to subscribe to your web page but my Sidekick 3 does not accept RSS feeds. Do you have email subscribe service? Thanks for the good work you do as it helps.

It’s a mixture, really. Often, companies contact me about reviewing products, but a lot of them ask for a review and then never send a product to be reviewed. In some cases, I have contacted the company seeking a review model of their product, which is what I did here. I imagine having some reputation in the industry helps as well.

How could you be sent by G1 I wonder! Did you ask for it or you have just build a reputation on reviewing gadgets? I love to see a G1 too and still in my country it is not yet available. Looks interesting, but I'm actually left very disappointed by the lack of a standard headphone jack. I'm looking for a phone that can replace my iPod -- besides the obvious solution (an iPhone). How's the call quality? I notice that with smartphones (to be specific, I used to have an HTC Touch), call quality can take a back seat to the other various features (ironic, because it's supposed to be a phone at heart, isn't it?).
