While at ebay, I decided to poke around for other working replicas and stumbled across this. Now I’m no Star Trek fan, but I know there’s a lot of you out there who are, so I thought you might get a kick out of it.
No video for this one, but it has a similar starting price. At $299, it has no bids in the last couple days, but there’s still 5 days of hope left for him.
I threw out a number on the last post, so I’ll throw one out here, too. I’m guessing it sells with 1 bid for $299.
If you remember the 80′s, surely you will dig this. Someone in Georgia created a working* replica of the famous Ghostbusters proton pack the Ghostbusters used to capture ghosts.
While this may not cure your paranormal woes, it lights up and makes noise and looks real enough. Not like something you’d find in a toy store, though. More like something you’d expect to see sell for $3,000 on ebay. It’s at $405 now, up from its $250 starting bid, but there’s less than 2 days left, so go bookmark it if you have the spare change to blow on it. Just make sure to watch the video below, first.
I love MyBlogLog. I really do. It was a jumping off point for me to really get things rolling with this blog after neglecting it for so long. Regardless, I am a little annoyed. Today, Yahoo dropped their logo all over MyBlogLog (as expected) and integrated the whole “You’re gonna log in through Yahoo now, boy. Now SQUEEL!” action they did with Flickr a while back. I get it and it makes sense. I can upload photos to Flickr, manage my MyBlogLog account and play Y! pool all while only loggin in once. Well… some day.
When you go to www.mybloglog.com, you get the standard page. Click “sign in” and you get Yahoo’s login page. Log into your Yahoo account and you get a page with an option to sign up for MBL or log into your existing account (see image):
When I fill out the form, and click the button to go to “step 2″, I am taken to the MyBlogLog home page, but I’m not logged in. If I click “sign in”, the whole process begins anew. This is the same for IE 7 or Firefox 2.0.0.2 Someone please tell this Bazillion dollar company to test things before pushing live.
Yahoo Photos is closing today. If you have photos there, you should log in and move them to Flickr. Along with this move, the Yahoo Photos API is officially no longer supported, so if you’re developing with that API, you might want to think again.
