1,000 entries required to complete the contest? Yes, ThePrizeBlog.com, that is just stupid, isn’t it? Sometimes we make mistakes and being new to this contest action, I’ve obviously made one there. Thanks to ThePrizeBlog.com for pointing it out to me, I’ve changed the contest to have NO requirement on how many entries there are before I mail my phone off to someone.

Archive for August, 2007Motorola Q Contest ModifiedFriday, August 31st, 2007Easy Image Carving for the WebThursday, August 30th, 2007Last week, TechCrunch posted a video showing some really cool developing technology in the image resizing arena. There was a lot of oohing and ahhing.
This week, they followed up to point out an online demo that a reader named Patrick Swieskowski sent them. Although it’s obviously just in it’s beginning stages, he’s got something awesome brewing. I can’t wait to see how the final product works. [via TechCrunch] Contests Make a Good Alternative to Ads?Wednesday, August 29th, 2007I love online contests. I’ve been naturally lucky in so many online, starting with a brief case I won from CDNow.com in 1995 or 1996. When I decided to throw a Win My Motorola Q Smartphone contest, I began to think about some of the contests I had participated in years ago. One involved getting an “I [heart] WWW” bumper sticker and wound up landing me a web development job.
Looking around today, I am reminded how much they still work to get people to your site and keep them coming back. This is so true, in fact, that there are blogs solely devoted to posting reviews of contests and they’re getting the traffic, too. Some contests offer links back to your site when you win. Others offer Plasma TVs, external hard drives, or even Motorola Q Phones. =) Check out some of the contests mentioned at ContestBlogger.com and MyBlogContest.com. Good Luck. Motorola Q Smartphone Contest ExtendedWednesday, August 29th, 2007Because of the slow start (and a possible schedule conflict), I have decided to extend the Motorola Q Smartphone contest to October 1st. With all the buzz bout the iPhone, some competition is sneaking out, barely noticed. One of those phones is the Samsung P2. It plays MP3s, reads ebooks, has a 3.0 inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, video player, and FM tuner. The P2 phone also includes a variety of 2GB, 4GB, or 8GB memory cards. check out the video below: [via TechTreak] |
