LG Touchscreen iPhone Doppleganger

“GTPH gives us a hands-on preview of the LG KE850, which looks very similar to the iPhone. Technical specifications have not yet been released, but we do know that it sports a 240 x 400 touchscreen display. Video after the jump.” (head to TechEBlog for the video.)

Right on the heels of all the buzz about Apple’s new iPhone is LG’s KE850. It looks like LG was quietly preparing to put Apple’s ego in check with thier own surprise. I would love to see some competition for such forward thinking in phones. Motorolla? I love my Q, but get in there.

CES 2007: WowWee’s RoboBoa Video Preview

Saturday, January 13th, 2007

“Unveiled at CES 2007, WowWee’s RoboBoa boasts a “motion sensor, alarm clock and speaker for an iPod.” Video preview after the jump.” (head to the TechEBlog article to check out the video.

It seems these days that WowWee is putting out too many poducts to focus on one properly, but I could very well be proven wrong since I love my collection. I have a Robosapien, Robosapien mini, Robosapien V2 and a Robosapien V2 Signature Edition. When I have more time, I plan on cracking open my V2 and “upgrading” it with a few things. For starters, I’ll be upgrading him so I can plug him right into the wall to recharge the batteries. Then I plan to put a video camera in his head and develop a web interface to control him and see what he sees. Don’t worry. I’ll post the link here when it’s ready.

A Closer Look At The iPhone

Thursday, January 11th, 2007

This is an even closer look at the iPhone. The video shows some features not previously mentioned in most media reports. This phone looks better and better all the time. While there are plenty arguing that the iPhone isn’t all the media wants it to be, I am still hooked and eager to see what a second release will include.

Ms. Dewey Plans to Rule the World

Thursday, January 11th, 2007

Tisha made a post about Ms Dewey, a viral marketing campaign by Microsoft. They used their search combined with Janina Gavankar in the role of Ms. Dewey, a sassy and informative search assistant. She doesn’t really seem to help much, but she’s damned interesting.

Even the loader is kind of cute and comical:

Try her out and see what you can make her do. Then comment here with anything interesting you find. For kicks, type “microsoft”. Or type a certain “f word” to hear about her crazy adventures. Dirty girl!
