New York teen sues record industry

RIAA Sucks

“A New York teen, dubbed a pirate by the Record Industry, is counter suing them for defamation, violating anti-trust laws, conspiring to defraud the courts and making extortionate threats.”

The RIAA has been so busy going after “pirates” that they’ve refused to acknowledge the collateral damage in their war against piracy, stepping on anyone they THINK may have downloaded music, without regard for the usual requirements for a court case (like any EVIDENCE). I hope the courts give that kid a big fat monetary judgement from the RIAA.

3D Interactive Environment from MIT

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

MIT researcher, Simon Greenwold developed this device. Essentially, it’s a large touch screen with a digital camera on the back to capture the environment and an input device that allows you to create and manipulate three-dimensional objects in your virtual space in real time. I would love to see what the proposed consumer uses for this might be.

Color iPod Shuffle

It comes as no surprise that Apple decided to one-up their iPod product line within the usual timeline again. As they did with the Nano, they’ve now provided us with color options for their itty-bitty iPod Shuffle. With the same $79 price tag, you can now get one of each color to match your whole wardrobe.

Drivemocion

Drivemocion

For years, I’ve been telling my wife that I need to keep some kind of signs in my car to express a range of messages to other drivers. I probably would have implemented such an idea if I could figure out a way to do it so that it would be legible, get noticed, yet not impede my driving.

AU-MY Retail came up with the very simple solution that I somehow missed, Drivemocion. The pictures should really say it all. At only £19.99 for the 5-message version, it’s awfully tempting.

Domains for sale

Monday, January 22nd, 2007

In the interest of paying bills, I’ve dropped the prices on a bunch of my domains down to $100. Like eBay, a first bid often gets the ball rolling, which is why I did the last sale.

If you know anyone who would be interested in any of these, send them the links:
